The Tulare and Visalia Democratic Clubs will have an entry in the Farmersville Memorial Day parade, 10 am on Monday May 28 (which is a school and state/federal holiday). We will be joined by candidates Andrew Janz, Abigail Solis, and Jose Sigala. Andrew will be riding on a vintage fire truck. We will have Club banners and banners/signs for the candidates. This is a Memorial Day parade–so we need to be respectful (so no big nasty anti-Trump banners), but we can have signs in support of our Democratic issues as well as “Get Out the Vote”, if you have a favorite sign to bring.
I will pick up our parade entry materials at 8:30 a.m.–at the corner of Visalia Road and Hester in front of the Medical Center. We need to be lined up by9:15 a.m.–to start at 10 am. (Hurry up and wait). The route runs west on Visalia Road to Farmersville Boulevard, right on Farmersville Blvd. to Front Street, a little over a mile.
Farmersville is a solidly Democratic town and holds the biggest/only Memorial Parade in the county. This a chance to have fun and get out to support our candidates.
The deadline to apply to have an entry in the parade is May 21– so other Democrats may have their own entries as well.
Hope to see you there.
